What is Qi2 and how is it different from older wireless charging?
Qi2 is the 2024 wireless-charging standard from the Wireless Power Consortium. It adds a magnetic alignment ring (Magnetic Power Profile) to ensure the iPhone always couples optimally with the charger — meaning consistent 15W charging, less heat, and no fiddling to find the sweet spot.
Which Apple devices does it charge?
Up to three at once: iPhone 12 through 17 (15W via Qi2), Apple Watch (all generations including Ultra, fast charging), and AirPods Pro/3rd gen (Qi-compatible case).
Do I need a separate Apple Watch charger or is it built in?
Built in. The X-Station Pro has a dedicated Apple Watch puck that supports fast-charge mode for Series 7 and later, including Ultra. No separate cable required.
Does it support iPhone in landscape orientation for StandBy mode?
Yes. The magnetic Qi2 pad pivots so iPhones with iOS 17+ enter StandBy mode automatically — useful as a bedside clock or notification display.
What power supply does it ship with?
